Prologue

Two great houses(家族） of nobility whose fames are alike,
In the renowned Verona the story unfolded.
When the accumulated hatred caused new conflicts,
The fresh blood contaminated（污染） civilians’ pure hands.
It was predestinate（宿命般的） fate
That gave birth to the two beloved（恋人）.
Their estranged（有仇怨的） parents made their compromise,
Because of the miserable perdition（殒灭） that snatched（夺走） their lives.
This love filled with life and death
Together with the resentment（仇恨） between their parents,
Was the murderer of this amorous（多情的） lovers.
